Gary T Armstrong

A skilled cabinet maker, Gary Armstrong possesses 42 years of specialist commission experience and is highly regarded as one of the finest British master furniture makers. 

The undertaking of an apprenticeship in 1981 saw the beginning of Gary’s career alongside one of the most qualified furniture makers in Britain during the early 1980s. Later, through the reading and practice of old and new cabinet-making and polishing techniques, and largely self-taught, Gary produces exact replicas of 16th, 17th and 18th century furniture through to designing modern day contemporary pieces. 

Gary can copy an antique piece from just a photograph, or design and create an exclusive commission, such as those that currently “grace many Grade 1 & 2 English period listed properties and are much admired.” Thorough in his work, and with a keen eye for detail, Gary is committed to high quality standards and his craftsmanship is testimony to his dedication, evident in his extensive and varied portfolio. 

Gary’s work adorns homes of some of the most prestigious people across the world, including royalty, politicians and government officials, British Nobles, TV celebrities, super yachts, leading VIP’s, and Fortune 1000 Business Professionals amongst others. 

Located in Arundel in Maine, USA, Gary undertakes individual commissions for delivery worldwide and is currently accepting new design briefs from clients directly, or via architects, interior designers, or furniture showrooms.
