Regency Twin Pedestal Acanted Dining Table
A THOMAS HOPE INFLUENCED REGENCY TWIN PEDESTAL ACANTED DINING TABLE circa 1807
Commissioned by Brights Interiors (Oxfordshire, England)
Designed by Gary Armstrong and featured in a prize winning fine furniture exhibition in Dubai to match the Four Door Breakfront Display Cabinet, this extending acanted corner edge dining table is made from maple burl, with ebonized mouldings and ebony inlay accents. The inlayed banding consists of an ebony Arabic motif with complimentary inlays to include Amboyna Burl and Madrona Burl. Angular twin pedestals feature scrolled feet inlayed with gilt acanthus rosettes, typical of the design influence.
